St Albans Carnival Comittee have been busy preparing for this year's carnival. New Route! New Date! New Venue!

It Carnival time again so come out and get into the "Carnival" spirit. With so much which will be new you can't say you've seen or done it before!

We have a new date, 26th June, new route around the City Centre and a new venue for the traditional Carnival activities - Clarence Park.

The new route will start as before at Bernards Heath and weave its way around down St Peter's Street, London Road, Lattimore Road, Victoria Street, Stanhope Road, Clarence Road and finish at Clarence Park. There will be activites around the route and people will be encouraged to join the procession and follow the floats around the route. All the pubs on route will have something going on and of course the grand finale is at Clarence Park where there will be activities, stalls and fun for all the family.

Clarence park will be split into several different areas. We will have a sporting arena, Kids zone, Teenage Area and Village Fair with stalls and a general arena. Be a part of this year's St Albans Carnival!

This year the St Albans Carnival is different! The procession has a new route which will end at Clarence Park for traditional Carnival activities and family fun. With over 20,000 people expected to turn out for this year's Carnival, it is a great opportunity to increase the awareness of your organisation. The three ways for your organisation to get noticed are - to be in the Carnival procession, to have a Stall or to be a Sponsor of the St Albans Carnival.

We need your colourful, lively walkers and floats to reflect this year's theme "CARNIVAL". Fancy dressed walkers are very welcome. We are once again looking for a record-breaking number of entries and so if your group, club, school or organisation would like a float in this year's procession, get an application form by emailing events@stalbans.gov.uk.

Stalls at Clarence Park

Market Stalls offer an excellent opportunity for you to raise awareness or funds for your club, charity or business at very little cost. For further details email events@stalbans.gov.uk.
